Sorry this is so long, but its necessary to explain my question.
I see religion and spiritual matters, as an “everything subject matter”
Even atheism associates to it. However, it surprises me how often people don’t exactly make room, for “everything” in their thinking.
I just asked another question, and explain weaknesses in popular Christianity to atheists
What’s funny is that some didn’t believe me that I was telling them the best things to mess with Christians in this day and time. What might seem so strange about that, is that I believe on Jesus Christ. The reason I told them the things I did, is because popular present day Christianity is not even aware that when you study the ancient documents the Bible was translated from. The original form of Christianity did not teach them. They resulted from mistranslations and cultural-isms that have distorted Christian doctrines over time. I really was telling the atheist the most unstable things in Christianity to pick on. That even the Bible itself can be used to destabilizes those beliefs.
However, since I said I was a Christian, some of them didn’t believe me that I was telling them the best things to pick on.
One person said that I must be a muslim, another person said I was a Jehovah’s witness. The suspense is killing me, which am I?
Another person said I wasn’t a Christian, at all
What’s most assumption about this, is that the person thought I would be offended by it.
I believe on Jesus Christ, but I don’t always call myself a Christian. Through studying details of the Bible I’ve found that the term, “Christian” was originally given to Christians, by unbelievers. They called them, “Christ-ins”, because they were always talking about Christ being in them. It was an insult. The word of God, itself, never gave believers on Christ any distinction than by what God, Christ, or his follows, “did” It did not give them a name to be counted different from the rest of humanity. Only other people, wanting to segregate themselves from them, did that. Honestly, I don’t always like being associated to modern day Christianity. Through study of the texts the Bible was translated from, present day doctrines often kinda make me want to puke. I wouldn’t be offended by someone refusing to call me a Christian. Sometimes, I don’t want to be called one. I did even only one uncommon thing that people would encounter, and rather than even imagining that it could be for other reasons, all these different kinds of people made assumptions.
My question is, “Do you realize, that its every kind of person in this world making assumptions, not just the kind you most commonly disagree with?” Just once I’d like someone to at least argue with me for what I believe, rather that what someone else does, and they assumed I think like them. Every human being is a fascinating and valuable individual, full of variety. This Universe is no small place, and distinctions in it, are not smaller than the details of their entirety’s. One thing I’ve noticed that people assume most often, is that someone is not telling them the truth, or that someone isn’t up to no good. What do you think about that human beings so easily assume things?
